Not for ducks - Stephen in Braintree |
|
“I was on holiday in the Lake District and decided to take a trip to the lake and feed the ducks. I bought a loaf of Warburtons Toastie as it felt soft and fresh..too good for ducks I thought! When we got to the lake there were no ducks to be seen, so I took it home and toasted it - yum yum, I'm glad the ducks weren't there.”
Thanks Stephen, that's a quacking story...! |

Names on Toast - Dave in Wednesbury |
|
“Try this tip for your kids...cut their name out of silver foil and place on top of your slice of Warbies before placing under the grill- it remains un-toasted where the foil has been and turns a delicious golden color when spread with butter. CAUTION! Never do this in an electric toaster... and kids....always get help from an adult.”
Sounds like fun - and don't forget to send us your pictures! |

Born and Bread - Alison in Moreton |
|
“My entire family have been 'self-raised' on Warburtons bread, even though my grandad was a baker!! My desert island products would be a super toastie loaf and a jar of Greek honey with thyme & pine nuts - yummy scrummy!”
Your desert island products sound like paradise! |

Mashed up recipe - Sharon in Kent |
|
“Our local supermarket has started to stock Warburtons and I thought why not give it a try - I'm glad I did! It reminds me of the bread I had as a kid. I like it toasted with mashed potato mixed with salad cream on top.
Or mint jelly instead of jam - give it a try.
Just thinking about it could be the undoing of my diet...!”
That certainly is a new recipe to me - Enjoy! |

Comfort food - Patricia in Beverley. |
|
“After a ten hour trip to Scotland, getting lost twice and arriving at our destination in the rain!we sat in front of the wood burning stove , there was no electricity, gas lamps and a gorgeous view of the montains and a loch shrouded in mist. A toasting fork had been provided and we dug out the Warbies, opened the stove door and toasted away!!Toast never tasted so good, the ultimate comfort food, you can't beat it! THANK YOU.”
